Stephanie Cook Has A New Lease On Life And A Good Thoroughbred

Good article on Stephanie, her riding accident and coming back to win the season at The Chronicle of the Horse

Stephanie Cook’s goal for the year with Texas Checkmate was to top the Take2 Thoroughbred League’s jumper standings, but a rotational fall from another horse in May resulted in a broken pelvis, a broken C-5 vertebrae and 12 broken ribs and seemingly ended that campaign.

Internship Reach Out

Reaching out to any classmates who might know of any possible internships available for a History / Poly Science major (my son Nick). He is actively reaching out to as many possible venues — I am simply trying to broaden the search. Any help would be greatly appreciated. He has done a couple of internships with the Buckeye Institute in Columbus, Ohio and another with ISI (Intercollegiate Studies Institute).

Reunion Communications Channels

Major channels for reunion communications are now set up.

There is a new class website at that is set up as a WordPress blog which should be simpler for others to use and post information on than the old Joomla based website. That should eliminate me as a bottleneck on getting information out once we get others set up to post to the site.

30th Reunion Dates

As many of us turned 50 in 2016, we have another milestone to mark, our 30th West Point reunion.

Please mark you calendars for our reunion weekend of 28 Sept-1 Oct 2017. This is the weekend of the Army v. Duke Football Game. At this point I do not know what other Army Teams will be battling on the fields of Friendly Strife. The reunion will take place at West Point.

If you are willing to contribute your time and expertise in pulling together this weekend, please email me.
